Zwaanswyk High School Solar Project

Tractor Outdoor has a 3m x 6m digital screen on this site.
The screen has a battery backed UPS to cater for load shedding.
A 33kW grid tied solar system was installed to provide power to the digital screen, charge the batteries and provide the school with the excess power produced for their own consumption.
The Solar installation took 7 days.
The system is monitored and controlled remotely.

The results after the first three weeks of operation are as follows:
The solar system produced 1913kWh
The digital screen consumed 1110kWh
The school was provided with 803kWh
The solar system provides the school with approximately 30% of it’s total energy requirement.
